Cebu (24/08) - Mewakili Pemerintah Republik Indonesia, Delegasi Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi menghadiri pertemuan Business Mobility Group (BMG) sebagai bagian dari Senior Official Meeting (SOM) 3 APEC di Cebu, Filipina
Dipimpin oleh Direktur Sistem dan Teknologi Informasi Keimigrasian (SisTIK), Sarno Wijaya dan Direktur Kerjasama Luar Negeri, Asep Kurnia, anggota delegasi RI (DELRI) terdiri dari Kepala Subdirektorat Kerjasama Antar Negara, Konsul Imigrasi KJRI Davao City serta Kepala Seksi Kerjasama Multilateral, Ditjen Imigrasi.
Pertemuan yang berlangsung dari tanggal 22 s.d 24 Agustus 2015 membahas aspek-aspek pelayanan serta pengamanan keimigrasian di perbatasan yang dapat diberikan guna memfasilitasi pebisnis APEC dalam melakukan perjalanan lintas negara di kawasan ekonomi anggota-anggota APEC.
Selaku Ketua Delegasi, Direktur Kerjasama Luar Negeri, Asep Kurnia, menyampaikan arti penting forum pertemuan APEC sebagai upaya kerjasama ekonomi regional yang akan membawa dampak positif bagi pertumbuhan dan pembangunan ekonomi nasional.
Indonesia semenjak Agustus 2002 telah bergabung dalam skema APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) yang merupakan kartu khusus bagi pelaku bisnis dari negara-negara anggota APEC yang berguna memfasilitasi perjalanan lintas negara. Dengan ABTC, pebisnis dapat melalui bandara atau pelabuhan tempat pemeriksaan imigrasi dengan lebih cepat serta lebih secure . Tahun ini, masa berlaku ABTC yg sebelumnya hanya 3 tahun diperpanjang menjadi 5 tahun dan pihak Imigrasi Indonesia saat ini sedang mempersiapkan instrumen hukum guna menunjang kebijakan tersebut.
Dalam country report yang disampaikan DELRI, Direktur SiSTIK Sarno Wijaya juga menambahkan pentingnya kerjasama regional dalam upaya peningkatan pelayanan dan pengamanan keimigrasian di perbatasan.
"Perbaikan pelayanan serta pengamanan dalam Border Control Management memerlukan sharing information and best practices antara negara-negara di kawasan" ungkap Sarno.Business Mobility Group . Pertemuan di Cebu ini merupakan pertemuan ke-3 yang hasilnya nanti akan dibawa ke dalam pertemuan APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting yang merupakan pertemuan antar Kepala-kepala Pemerintahan dari seluruh Ekonomi Anggota APEC November mendatang di Manila-Filipina.
